As a charity, Shadwell Basin Outdoor Activity Centre is mostly reliant on grants from charitable trusts, as well as donations from individuals and companies. The London Borough of Tower Hamlets, who used to fund part of our activities, has drastically reduced their subsidies to us.
Many young people have told the Basin how participating in the activities of the Centre has been a life changing experience. These changes are mainly by either going on to greater adventure and challenges in the world wilderness areas or by gaining the confidence, determination and inspiration to improve their expectations of what they can achieve.
We can only continue to do so with your help and support!
